Can I please have some encouragement from Date Masamune (Samurai Love Ballad Party)? At work, I have been setting quite high standards for myself as I want to complete each case well. But I am still new to the firm,so there is a lot of learning involved - I find that I have been quite hard on myself whenever I make mistakes because I feel as though there is an exceptionally high standard I cannot meet. People at work have told me that I have improved immensely but I just don't feel convinced...

...I too have very high standards for myself.
There have been many times where I know that Kojuro must remind me that I should not take so much on my shoulders...nor should I be as hard on myself as I am when I do not complete my tasks as I had envisioned them...
...especially when my plans do not fall in place when...you are concerned.
If you have heard from others that you are improving...then you are. I know it is hard to see it in yourself...but, I do not believe they would say such things if they did not mean them. Perhaps you need to stop...and think back on how far you’ve come.
Remind yourself of what you did not know when you started...and what you know now. Something tells me...that you may be very surprised.
