Talking about Ylvis with the guys from Kakkmaddafakka
I got to meet the wonderful guys from Kakkmaddafakka in Utrecht, the Netherlands, after their show and talk with them about Ylvis! Some of you might be interested in reading about it, so I wrote some stuff down :) FYI, Kakkmaddafakka is an amazing band from Bergen.
I had a lovely chat with Stian Sævig, the bass player (mainly in Norwegian!!) and at one point he asked me why I was such a fan of Norway. I said it was a stupid reason, but it was because of Ylvis. He immideately got enthousiastic and told me Pål Vindenes (another band member who joined us at this point) had almost lived in a house with Ylvis’ young brother, Bjarte, who I probably hadn’t heard of (hehe...well...). Also, Stian’s cousin had been in a relationship with Bjarte for seven years! Stian said he liked that I Will Never Be A Star song and I told him I saw Bjarte perform that song last summer. I said that if one of them would ever end up living in a house with Bjarte, they should let me now :p
Then Stian asked me if I knew Kygo, and I said I’d seen his show one night before, and Stian said “I bet he Stole The Show” :’D Then Stian said that Kygo used to like this girl who is now Stian’s girlfriend, and he high-fived Pål. Now, I don’t know if this was a joke or not, my friend did think so and I thought he was serieus, but it was funny either way. Stian explained saying “no one can resist a bass player, right?” and I agreed.
It was one of the best nights of my life, not even kidding, they were so much better live than I could’ve hoped for, and the show was full of energy and SO much fun, so if you get a chance seeing them, DO IT. I brought them some ‘stroopwafels’, typical Dutch cookies, and I took some pictures with them and let them sign my KMF bag. I asked for their manager’s signature because I know him from their vlogs and stuff, and he was shy but eventually signed my bag :) In certain situations I don’t dare to take the bag with me because of the word on it, haha, but mostly I wear it proudly. Cheers to one of the best bands ever, and with no doubt one of the weirdest but kindest guys.

Favorite song! On the list: Enough To Let Me Go by Switchfoot, I just have this connection with this song that I don't understand but can't deny. Atm I'm loving Kakkmaddafakka's new album (they're from Bergen!), the song Fool is amazing :) Enjoy!
