"You know, when I said that I could handle it, I meant it."
“Oh yeah, yeah, no — I know exactly what you think you meant. Heard it loud and clear.” Bucky says it with a wink, doesn’t bother hiding his grin. “It’s not that easy, Stevie; saying something and meaning it… well, it doesn’t really mean anything anymore these days, does it? Do you think it does?”Â

It was late by the time they got back to base and it was even later by the time they all had been debriefed and dismissed. Every single one of the Howling Commandos were sore and aching by the time they were allowed to go back to their bunks, or wherever it was they wanted to go. The majority of them headed straight for the local pub, and Bucky was tempted to join them. That was until she noticed Steve going straight for his bunk, and another kind of temptation stirred inside of her.
"Hey Captain," she drawled in a lazy kind of tone as she leaned against the door frame of his bunk. Being the Captain had it's perks, like having your own bunk to yourself. "You not in the mood for a few drinks with the fellas? Want me to keep you company for a while?"

Sometimes I do think that Katniss knew Peeta was the one since the beggining.
By the time the game finishes, she's seen what Peeta is capable of... but she has no time. She is refusing to grow that side of her, because the ones that love us are the ones that hurt us the most. She learned that before Snow said something similar (because I don't remember the quote xD), when her father died and her mother fell down to a deep full depression. She got hurt by her. So, when she kisses Gale, it's just because Gale seems to need it. That's what she's learned of her kisses, that those can help. Her feelings go all weird at that moment. Still doesn't know what love is, what friendship is, what attraction is, what affection is,...Â
So by the time the Saga ends, that's when she allows herself to feel. When she is in the games for the second time, she sees what love is through Peeta. The way he lies to keep her safe. The way he keeps keeping her safe. But she's also helping him, and that's when she knows she loves him, probably, but not surely until the end of the Quarter Quell, until the possibility of losing him.Â
What I was trying to say is that, when she meets Peeta from the beginning, there's a high chance she could have thought "that's the one', if she wasn't so hurt. And that's why it takes too long for her to learn. That's why she takes her time. To be honest, in a world like that, who has time for love?

I see myself in Gale sometimes, because when I hate something/someone, I do hate it/them passionately. But that’s what I hate in myself. Peeta is my fav. He’s so good, yet has dark side and he’s fighting against it to be with Katniss. He’s a hero
Not only a hero. Let's be all real here. He's been the inspiration for Katniss all along. The one that gave her enough impulse in the first games. The one that kept her alive all along. He's her guardian. Katniss is the Mockingjay, but without him, she'd be just a dead girl. One who died in the bloodbath of the beginning.

same here same here
I find it odd. Because yes, Gale is me. But what I see in Gale is precisely what I don't like about me, the vindictiveness, the resentment (even if it lasts nothing to me) and what I see in PEeta is what I would like to be: moral, good, able to sacrifice anything even my wn life for those I love. Gale? Gale sacrifices, but Gale fights and Gale hates and Gale is full with violent hatred. Peeta and Katniss hate, but Peeta doesn't allow them to turn him into a monster. That's what makes Peeta the good choice.
In terms of Freud, I would argue Peeta is the superego to me, what I would like to aspire, while Gale is my it. Â
