It’d been such a long day – or evening, really. Remy had ended up stopping by a small local bar after work, somewhere quaint, not too noisy simply to unwind. She wasn’t a huge drinker, but now and then, she would partake. She’d barely been sitting there, sipping her drink when a familiar voice interrupted, “No way… is that really Remy? Scarecrow?” the male laughed like he found his own words funny. She cringed, rolling her eyes, “Damn, you filled out. Who knew – a real life girl?” he taunted, but his friend chimed in, “You mean woman – don’t be offensive, Zane.” The pair both laughed as their third friend joined them. “Just go away, we’re not in high school. I’m not interested in speaking to you.” Zane moved in closer, “Aw, now, don’t be like that. We’re just teasing. Don’t be such a drama queen.” The other jumped in, “She always was a total baby – big stick up her ass.” The main one, Zane, let a hand drop to Remy’s leg, “Don’t touch me,” she snapped and pushed it away, “Hey now, don’t be rude. A few more drinks and I might be willing to take you home, knock that stick right out of there.” The third smirked, moving up behind her, “Might take all three of us for that.” She pushed off her seat, “There’s not enough alcohol on this entire planet for me to ever go anywhere with any of you. Besides, I’m seeing someone far better than any of you could ever hope to be,” she snapped back. The three chuckled, “Little scarecrow actually got some guy to date her? That’s impressive,” one said, another adding, “Oh damn, look, even got a ring," he chuckled, "she must be good with her mouth for that to happen. Maybe it’s the janitor,” they all started to laugh. The whole thing only went on a few more minutes before the bartender stepped in, kicking the guys out.
It rattled Remy more than she wanted to admit, more than she liked, and that had her drinking far too much. Thankfully, the bartender realized she needed to be cut off. He insisted on calling her an Uber, somehow managing to get Hayden’s address typed in cause she really didn’t want to go to her empty apartment right now. She wanted to see him. Likely, she should’ve just taken the Uber several drinks ago, and gone to his place. She didn’t, though, and now she was far too drunk to think straight. Stumbling up to Hayden’s door, she knocked not even realizing she continued knocking until he pulled it open. “Hi,” she offered a crooked smile before trying to step forward, stumbling directly into him. “Oops!” A giggle fell from her lips, “Shhad a baad—baaadd  nigh’. S’was bad,” the words heavily slurred and melting together. Brows furrowed slightly, giggling some more, "Ev'rythin's kin-na spinnnny."
