I really want to thank everyone who came to Sakura Con and for making it really ...the best convention I have ever been to in the 11 years I've been going.
This is in no definite order, but I just need to thank everyone:
I want to thank froggiesandstrawberries (yep that's a link so go check out Freya's cosplay and photography right now!) deeply for everything she did for all her friends this weekend. She really took on the role of photographer-cosplayer and brought out the very best, and I seriously cannot wait to see ALL the pictures she took this weekend. Miyu's beautiful Aerith (among her many beautiful cosplays) and her incredible FFVII group is especially at the top of my list of must sees! ♥ Finally meeting the most genuine, kind, and loving soul that is Kayla was so moving, and I'm not sure I can put words to how I feel having her in my life. N-chan and I got to spend time together and I'm always thankful for that!! ♥ Meeting new friends (WE COLLECTED SO MANY NEW SWEETIES! ; W ; AHH HI AGAIN!) , seeing beloved old friends (I MISSED YOU SO MUCH LET'S HANG OUT), and spending some time with each person was really the most meaningful part of the con. I was so happy to show Noel a great time at his first time at Sakura Con, who did a super cool NON-LEGO COSPLAY (HAHA! <3) especially because he'll be working with Sean on the upcoming GAMcon this summer!! I am so looking forward to what Sean will organize and how this awesome weekend gave him even more motivation toward his future goals!
Most of all, I want to thank Jon from the bottom of my heart for eeeeeeeverything!!! He was the most handsome Sycamore in history just sayin' woweeeeee hnnghh!! We were so awesome and I think this was truly the best Sakura Con we've ever had!!! It was a welcome break from all the hard work we've been doing every week... and I can't wait to have another weekend like this where we can spend every day together! When was the last time we got to spend this much time together... ;___; I miss you... so.. much. and we just had dinner together, but I just.. thank you for everythingasdjaskldjaskdaj
To everyone who couldn't be there with us (Rachel is always on my mind ♥ David is having so much fun in Japan but dude we missed you so bad please get me into Jojo my body is ready JOOOOOOOOO!!! JO! Maude is in our heart forever and I got Thor to say hi HAHAHA yes good ♥ Silvia was in the sparkle of every gorgeous Sailor Moon we saw ♥♥♥ Kennie has now officially hugged Kayla!!! well... under the condition of modus ponens i.e David hugged me, David hugged Kennie, I hugged Kayla, therefore Kennie has basically hugged Kayla! YAY HAHA NO ONE CAN ARGUE WITH MY LOGIC GET OUT! BROGADE! We've pretty much met more than half the brogade now! We gotta get everyone together! Especially those we haven't met: Xav, K, Tia, Josh, Birdy... we're coming for you!! I'm gonna photoshop Claire and Tara into literally everything because it wasn't the same without youuu and we missed you so much!!) or if you/we/everyone was busy this weekend: we miss you and we love you and we can't wait to see you soon! (AND STACY LET'S PLEASE HANG OUT SOON ; A ; WE MISSED YOU!! AHHHHHHHGHGHH.. ;;;;;)
Thank you everyone for everything ♥ THANK YOU EVERYONE! Even if your name isn't mentioned here, I hope you realize that you were part of a really wonderful and well deserved weekend
aND OF COURSE MY MOM FOR BEING SUPER AWESOME AND MAKING US USE FOOD COLORING ON OUR DINNER BECAUSE WHY NOT IT'S COLORFUL AND MADE MY WHOLE DAY HEHE! ♥♥♥ (We had super vibrantly colored rainbow fettuccine alfredo!)
Ahh.. to everyone I may have forgotten in my Sunday sleepiness, I know you know that I know that you know that I love you and am so happy we could share these days together...
And finally, to myself... Megan, thank you for not guilting yourself into not going. Thank you for taking a break. You needed a break. It was healthy to take a break. Take another break sometime soon. I know it's tempting to just stay at home and work and school and get into a routine that you are comfortable with... so thank you for getting out of your comfort zone. For actually socializing with real human beings... and for getting out of your school-shaped-cave long enough to have a little fun. It's always okay to have fun and be a little selfish sometimes. Learn to put yourself (and your needs for human contact) first when you can afford it. People love you, share a lot of your interests, and can teach you unexpected things that you won't learn always keeping to yourself... so don't be afraid to reach out. This weekend.. was such a great lesson in letting that apprehension go ... and just talk to people. And stop being so afraid that they'll hate you... because chances are, they won't... you have a lot to offer... stop doubting yourself and remember how much you can add to THEIR life (even if it's just a little right now...)
We will have pictures to follow once everyone gets settled in... but I'm just so full of love for everyone...
As Cid might say:Fly high and dream big.
