Every New Year there are festivals all over the world, but one major festival takes place in Meitona, where Taka and all the malatsas gather to watch performances by artists and musicians from all over the world.
Sometimes this festival is the first time Taka and Thoit have seen each other all year, and certainly the first time in months. Neither of them have seen much of their brother Toka either, the Outsider malatsa of Aoutaka. The three of them were very close as princes.
So when Taka and Thoit meet, Thoit is usually so excited to see Taka he greets him by squeezing him in a tight hug. Sometimes he'll pick him up or test Taka's reflexes by attempting to punch him. Most people think it's staged but it's 100% legit and Taka has no idea what Thoit will do, but he generally responds by hugging Thoit back because he's missed him as well. Their reaction to Toka is more or less the same except less violent; Thoit usually just hugs him or picks him up and Taka will hug him. Toka always hugs back and often jokes about them acting like Outsiders, which is ironic because he's the only Outsider out of the three of them. Hiveakans can still be cute, just terrifying as well. It isn't wise to let one hug you unless you can say for certain that it likes you. They could just be trying to crush you to death. Fortunately Taka and Thoit do really like Toka.
