Just wanted to add that if you also listen to the music underlaid for that scene, it's really clear that it wasn't meant to be romantic but more discomfort-inducing. if you compare that to the moment when shaw hears 4AF and gets hope, it's a really deliberate choice.

thanks for that detail, I hadn’t noticed! I’m really glad they weren’t framing it as romantic because suicide, whatever reason causing it, shouldn’t be romanticised.

Haha Squishy picking the deep questions…after thinking about this for a while I’ve decided that no, I don’t. I think in the moments themselves, most of the time stuff is random. However, I believe that we can make connections in retrospect and learn from those occurrences or be grateful for the things that happened that may have led to another. I think it makes you a happier and more thankful person that way, plus if you believe that everything is random and don’t make those connections, then maybe you’d never learn from your mistakes.

when i was applying for uni overseas (or job interviews that required something similar), my first tactic was normally to see what their own motto etc was, and then use it in part to tailor skills and qualities to what they might value most?
