Massachusetts Police are asking the public for help locating a 35-year-old woman who went missing Tuesday night after leaving her boyfriend's home.
Brittany Tee, of Brookfield, has been missing for nearly a week, but she was reported missing just three days after she was last seen. “They had a drone in the air, dead dogs, people down. You have dogs that are looking for human scent. It was a thorough and thorough search," said Worcester District Attorney Joseph Early Jr., according to Boston 25 News. We continue to investigate the disappearance of Brittany Tee of Brookfield. Search teams worked areas near her home extensively yesterday. Investigation continuing today seeking info to guide future search operations. Anyone with info please call @Brookfield_PD, 508-867-5570. pic.twitter.com/wEYHMdTLBc — Mass State Police (@MassStatePolice) January 16, 2023 Authorities searched Brookfield, near the friend's home, for clues over the weekend, and police dogs were eventually able to pick up Tee's scent in the woods near Lewis Field, a playground. On Sunday, police used a drone to survey the area from above to find the missing woman. Tee's friends say a lack of communication was behind the delay in reporting her missing. "There are a lot of people who are really worried about her and we want her to know that we love her so much and we want her to be safe at home," said Brittany's boyfriend Mattie Sjoblom. Dozens of her relatives have come to the Brookfield Police Department to inquire about her investigation, hoping the mounting pressure will help speed up the search. "Today was the day we've had enough. We showed a great support presence today in the car park opposite the train station, which I think helped get the ball rolling," added Sjoblom. While a group of Tee's friends hoped to join the search, detectives say they fear unknowingly disrupting vital evidence. "I know there is an urgent need to help the search now, but we ask that you don't do it now," Brookfield Police Chief Michael Blanchard said, according to CBS Boston. Shirt stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a black winter coat, jeans, and work boots. Her family and her friends say she has never been away this long without contacting anyone. Authorities have asked residents of nearby Brookfield to check any cameras they may have outside their homes for evidence related to the case. Read the full article
