Briar and Scotty will wake up one morning in the future and Peggy will be turning 18 and getting ready to become an adult and do what she wants in life and Scotty’ll just groan and roll over. He’ll feel like an old man and just mumble “Where did time go? Our little girl’s all grown up,” in his sleepy, probably unintelligible, accent and Briar will smile and just kiss him because she feels the same way but she knows time may have gone by in the blink of an eye but she’s still in love with Scotty just like when they were teenagers all those years ago.
