My interpretation of Carr Garn47's personality part one REWRITE!
In the words of a philosopher: "Awww, shit. Here we go again."
Her personality and (partly) her motivations:
She is rude and rather antisocial, not quick to trust people in the slightest and is very introverted. She is also somewhat, but not overly, formal in her way of speaking, she would rather call you "moron" as opposed to "idiot" but she does use the latter on occasion, not for a pretensious reason though, her vocabulary is just very wide.
She is quite stoic, and non-chalant, but also condescending and rude to those she doesn't wish to respect. (Though, recently, she has been trying to be better)
She is a borderline work-aholic, anytime she is not working, is in her eyes either a filler, or time well wasted.
Her core values are hard work and passion. She has immense respect to those who actually go out and do things rather than those that just endlessly think about doing so.
She does not care for fun, in fact she hates most forms of entertainment. And while she does try top keep an open mind for her brother's sake. She simply cannot tolerate those who waste their time distracting themselves all day, and don't work towards their goals.
"All Work and no Play may make Jack a dull boy, but All Play and no Work makes jack a mere toy, so at least if Jack prioritises work, he will still be able to call himself a person" -Carr Morales
While she does not hate ALL forms of play, she hates those that just distract themselves with entertainment constantly and neglect their own lives and passions. She hates those who act like fun and play are the centre of everything and she despises those who complain when they need to actually get work done.
This is all mostly just projection, as Carr has great amounts of self htred, often berating or outright scolding herself whenever she is not hard at work. She barely sleeps because she feels obligated to be working every single second that she lives.
However, she is no monster, if someone is only refusing to work for the sake of their own mental health, she will leave them be. She herself struggles with great amounts of self hatred and doubt, so she knows the struggle they undergo, and though while she herself pursists regardless, she does not call those who don't "weak" or "lazy". Who she DOES call weak and lazy are people who have absolutely no excuses for slacking off.
Unfortunately for her, The society, if you could call it that, of the world of Garnucopiatopia revolves heavily around going with the flow and doing whatever you want. Which leads to her ideologies often making her an outcast of sorts, especially when she tries to force said ideologies onto others (a bad habit she wishes to get rid of).
She will sometimes throw condescending comments at residents that annoy her, like Fib (who is probably the most pathetic of them all in Carr's eyes). Fib purposefully refuses to stock his shop simply so that when travellers walk into his shop he can guilt trip them into talking with him. Carr hates Fib, but can't get to him because his shop's metal doors and walls are surprisey resistant to all blunt force objects, and/or explosives. So she reluctantly tolerates his existance... for now.
Carr is often seen by the civilians of Garnucopiatopia as a weirdo that isn't worth interacting with, mainly because of her attitude but also because she is so adverse to fun and games, and many people actively avoid her.
She was often excluded from social situations even before she started taking more... drastic measures for her plans.
She was treated like a monster, and nowadays, she's pratically a cryptid. People are geniunely afraid of her. There have been at least four ghost stories she's overheard, and many wanted posters that she's seen and promptly taken down, and the things people whisper about her...
Everytime she goes out in public she has to avoid being seen because if she is panic and hysteria will spread and everyone will want to run and evacuate. Even Drilly, who is the most amiable person in Garnucopiatopia as of current (except for Car), always finds a polite excuse to leae when Carr wants to talk to them; Carr rarely get's more than a hello said in an unworried tone to her by them.
But why? What could possibly justify people beign so afraid of her? What could justify them excluding her from everything?
Well, it all started one day, when she discovered a crack in the ground somewhere in the city. It grew, and inside it was... nothing. It went all the way down. A deep, deep fault that split open the plane of Garnucopiatopia.
Her world was falling apart.
This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, far from it.
Carr and her brother used to live in a world called "Brimboworld" with their two parents Angel and Roy.
But one day, cataclysm broke out, BrimboWorld was completely and utterly destroyed, and their parents, were gone. Dead. Just like the world itself.
Yet, Carr and her brother had been gifted special "lifeearrings" at birth, which grant the being that wears them "more life than needed". In the sense it's makes them pratically immortal.
This meant the bothe of them were able to survive the end of their world.
However, the both of them were trapped in darkness for the longest time.
Until eventually, the two of them managed to use their powers to create World-Creation-Chambers. Which they then used to create a new world, Garnucopiatopia.
Car may have moved on from the experience but Carr had been perminantly scarred.
She saw everything she cared crumble and become nothing.
All who did her right, all who did her wrong, it didn't matter, they were obliterated all the same.
It was only, when about half the world was destroyed, when she saw them.
The being, death incarnate, stared through her saying nothing.
She was paralysed by it's presence. She couldn't even shake with fear, let alone run or do anything.
She felt in that moment, a dread she has never been able to unfeel.
It walked towards her, slowly, across nothing. Barely moving it's legs to do so, as though this was mere routine for it. And it was.
It was insanity itself, it was a reminder of every worst emotion and action.
Every mistake and every selfish decision.
It was every regret, every broken dream.
Every intrusive thought acted upon, every poorly thought out choice.
Every nightmare, every bout of anxiety or panic.
It was despair, or most of it at the very least.
And it was walking towards her.
Everything was silent as LD finally finished their approach.
They looked into Carr's eyes, then into her Earring.
It shoke it's head back and forth as though her very existence was something to be rediculed.
They tried to punch through her, to shatter her being into a mear memoty, as it did with all it's victims.
But nothing happened when it's fist connected with her, it just left her with a burning, sheering, torturous pain that was by far the second most painful thing she had ever felt.
LD almost stumbled backwards, surprised? Impressed? Annoyed?
It didn't matter. They knew why it did nothing.
They laughed, A sound Carr could never forget, beofore stepping forward and aggressively snatched her LifeEarring, andtried to rip it out of her ear.
That was the greatest amount of pain Carr has ever been in.
She couldn't been to desribe what it felt like, it was as if her very soul was being clenched and ripped like a piece of paper.
It was as though all of her skin was being sliced off at once through nothing but papercuts.
It was though every nerve in her body was bursting over and over again, like fireworks.
(to be clear, Carr doesn't have any nerves nor skin, these are just metaphors to put things into perspective.)
It was only when Car showed up to get LD's attention that she got freed of it's grasp.
Her and Car may have survived the expereince, but LD still haunts her, everyday. She sometimes spots them around courners, giving her that same head shaking motion. Though recently, said motion has started to feel more... personal.
Carr now has severe thanatophobia and ewhen she saw that crack and realised her new world was crumbling apart, she went into a panic.
She had to do something! No.. everyone had to do something...
She kept trying to gather people around about the potential cataclysm, but nobody cared to listen, which made her furious, the asking turned into begging, the begging turned into demanding, the demanding turned into screaming,
"Can't you just fix it yourself? You're able to fix every else here perfectly fine. Do it yourself if you're so smart!"
She could... She always could... and she was forced to.... but this was far more than a one person job! They had to understand that! Why did nobody understand that?!
They would always leave everything to her!
Even before Garnucopiatopia, she had had an intense passion for community service.
But her work was always thankless, nobody would consider her emotions, they all just left all of their responsibilities to her, like she was a tool!
And that has been happening even in Garnucopiatopia, even in the present day! Even though nobody actually knows it's Carr who fixes everything, who keeps the whole world standing, because she is never allowed to be seen in public.
"Oh, the fountains broken? Eh, let it fix itself." They would say, when in reality Carr has to fix it, while also avoiding being seen like some sort of Mechanic Santa Claus. And she has to do so with absolutely everything that needs to be fixed!
"Oh, Let it "fix itself"."
"Oh, holes appearing randomly in the ground to swallow people whole?"
"meh, Let it "fix it self"."
"Oh, There's a 7 foot tall flesh beast that appeared in Fib's Shop one day and won't leave?"
"Ahh, Let it "fix itself"."
Community service was starting to feel like an actual CHORE now...
It was painful... she hated every second of it... she hated the people who put her through this... she hated every one of them.
Those people didn't deserve this world.. they didn't deserve life...
They deserved to burn and die.
They deserved suffering and pain.
So why would it matter if some of them disappear? For the greater good.
For the creation of the world ring.
For the new reality where there is no entropy, and no slothfullness,
A better world, without hatred, a world without pain, a world where everyone is part of a community and contributes to help each other and their society out.
A perfect utopia of order.
A new world that never can die.
And she will make that dream come true...
