Scrooge spun around, eyes narrowing at the nephew before him. He couldn’t believe this was happening, especially again. This trip was supposed to make up for that one, it was supposed to be a success. Scrooge was supposed to achieve his goal, so why wouldn’t Huey let him?
“Donae’ try ta’ guilt me wi’ that, laddie!” Scrooge said with a gravity voice. Whole family grieve him? What? All three of them? Maybe along with Webby? Scrooge knew damn well that Donald’s life would be better off without him.
“We’ve come so far! We have ta’ keep goin’! Ah promised ye we’d make it!” Not only did Scrooge want to find the treasure, he also wanted to give Huey the adventure he’s always deserved. “If we hurry, we can make it there an’ back! We’ll both get what we want! Please, Huey! Ah need this! Ah need ta’ have jus’ one work th’ way it’s supposed ta’ be!” One hand reaches down for his nephew’s. “We can still make it!”
