OIKE
There’s this small creature walking on the hallways, coming near our stations, laughing and effortlessly radiating the sweetest smiles. Bouncing around like a cute stress ball. Her aura, as I describe it, just like some of the people that I’ve met, is dancing in bright and light colors. Adorable, giggly, and soothing at the same time. I told her that she’s a small woman with a big heart. A compliment which I rarely give to people I barely know. She’ll be an exception though. Conversing with her just emanates positivity within our circles. I find her expressiveness of being an ailurophile cuter than her height. I love cats but on a different context. Hers are certainly on the brighter side of the felines’ attributes and how they are always that ball of fur, so soothing and fluffy.
I wondered if she ever had any idea about how some people perceived her as a ball of sunshine. It’s bursting bubbles around when she laughs. The way she gushes in awe like a child, her reaction when the group teases and bullies her for fun, and how she made the hardest and futile attempt to flirt with our teammate Rica (the mother of ‘gaydars’). All of those things were just pleasing to behold.
Being cynical would be an irrational move, right? And clearly, I don’t know why I’m writing these things about her. Maybe because she’s pretty? Or perhaps her untainted and somewhat innocent demeanor were the irony of the things and attributes that I never and could no longer have.
