Brigadier Sofa designed by Cini Boeri for Knoll 1978
Cini Boeri was an Italian modern architect and industrial designer, and one of the first internationally recognized female architects in Italy. Her Brigadier sofa was a departure from many of her previous, softer and more sculptural, designs. It features rigid side and back panels, while retaining Boeri’s characteristic soft upholstery. It was used to furnish Voyager’s mess hall, alongside Steve Leonard’s Ribbon chairs and Paul Boulva’s Suspension chairs.
