Level 1-3: Brick Falling off a Shelf
This was surprisingly challenging. I feel much more comfortable with oragnic shapes, but it was a good exercise!
If you’re interested in trying out the challenge or just want to see what other exercises there are you can check out the post [here]

#3 - “Brick falling from a shelf onto the ground”
Exercise 3: Brick falling from a shelf onto the ground
So for the exercise I mixed the pose to pose with straight ahead method and I thought it turned out nice. It was a fun to try make that “brick” look heavy or more weighty than the ball from yesterday’s exercise. The animation felt like it skipped a few frames due to me trying to make it fall faster.
For my twist I thought having a person trying to catch the brick and fail. It seemed very funny to me so I went ahead and animated that. The little guy I animated felt like a pole but we’re here to practice on the brick animation so I didn’t put too much thought on the guy.
Hope you liked it! DM me if you have any criticism or feedback (love to have some 1 on 1 animation conversation).
bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh fuck my life.
I gotta go back and reanimate this for 12fps instead of 24 cause my settings are for 12 fps....
I’m an idiot. But the WIP isn’t too horrible. Although the changing sizes is a problem.
