=============================================== Prayer items for March 10th, 2014: - Brian Joo: Pray for Brian's health as he goes about his daily schedule so that he can always lean on God for strength and guidance. Also, pray for a speedy recovery for his toe on his left foot, which he hurt recently. May God continue to fill his heart with joy and thankfulness for doing what he does no matter how tired he may feel at times. - 3rd Wave: Pray for God to watch over the team as the special edition of "Soldiers of Light" album is being prepared. Also, pray for wisdom as planning takes place for tour stops this year. Pray for PJ's trip to Indonesia that God will use Him to impact that country powerfully and that His Spirit will be present during his ministry there. - Brian Kim: Pray for God to keep Brian safe and healthy and continue to use him to build His Kingdom through song and testimony. - Onnuri English Ministry: Pray for those who are going through the Lent season by fasting. Also, pray for the upcoming Fire By Night on Friday, March 14 (White Day) in one of Seoul's red light districts. As an act of love and grace, OEM will be going there to give flowers and to pray for them. - Bonnie: Pray for her well-being as she is very stressed with life right now and about to lose it. May God's peace fill her and that she will find true rest in Him, trusting that He knows best. - Jessica: Let's continue to pray for the passengers, crew, and family members of those who boarded flight MH370, which is still missing. Pray that they can be found and return safely to their families. Amen. - Raeha: Pray for her missionary preparatios. There is still paperwork to be sorted out from the school that she'll teach at and she has to take care of visa applications as well. Right now, the school hopes that Raeha can be in China by the end of this month because waiting longer would lead to a tremendous increase in airfare due to summer's high season prices. Pray for timing and the most cost-efficient means or that there will be funds available to do what needs to be done. In addition, not having a definite plan has caused a lot of anxiety. May God grant Raeha peace in her heart and continued faith in Him that it will all work out according to His plans. Also, her family is feeling the strain of her impending departure and the uncertainties of the current situation has been cause for much worry. Pray that her family can be prepared to "let go" of Raeha to fulfill the path that God has set for her. - Sarah: Pray for her to leave everything up to God and to focus on her studies. May God give Sarah wisdom, strength, good health, and proper rest.

=============================================== Prayer items for February 10th, 2014: - Brian Joo: Thanksgiving for the recent performances at Shinsegae Culture Art Center in Juk-Jeon and Myeong-Dong. Pray that God will continue to give Brian opportunities to share his talents, which in turn lifts up the spirits of those who attend. Also, pray that God will keep Brian healthy in the cold winter weather as he goes abour his various activities. - 3rd Wave: The 2014 theme for 3rd Wave Ministry is Growing Lower with the message of humility, sacrifice, and commitment. Pray that the Lord will guide brothers and sisters to pursue this theme this year. Please pray for Pastor Johnny and his family. He flew to California since his mother-in-law is quite ill and his wife has been tending to her. Since it has been a hard time on PJ and his family, pray that God will keep them close and comfort them. Also, pray that God will lay His healing hands upon PJ's mother-in-law. - Brian Kim: Pray for Brian is staying healthy and well. May God continue to inspire him to write new songs that will touch the hearts of many as well as bring glory to the Lord. - Onnuri English Ministry: Pray for Pastor Eddie, who is currently at the Onnuri Pastors Academy. On Wednesday night, the pastor who will lead the new justice ministry for the Korean congregation will vision cast! OEM has been praying for this to happen for the past 3 years. Please pray for God to awaken the hearts of these 250+ pastors from all over the world to begin living out the gospel in new and powerful ways, for the freedom and justice of this generation, and for the spread of the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Also, pray for OEM's Freedom and Justice Conference this weekend to equip and release His Church to be a powerful light in the darkest places on this planet. - Raeha: The school that she applied to teach English in China has started the paperwork to get her work visa. Pray that things continue to proceed smoothly with that process. Also, praise God that her infection where her wisdom tooth was extracted is clearing up. Pray for a good report when she sees the dentist for a follow-up on the 17th. - Stephanie: After finding that her previous job was not suitable, she decided to quit. Now, she is looking for new employment. Pray that God will provide her with opportunities, give her wisdom, guide her choices, and give her favour in those who have the decision-making power in the companies that she will be applying to.

Pray that God will continue to guide him in his endeavors this year. May God give him opportunities to take on new projects that will help him grow and develop new skills and talents. Also, pray that he will have good health as he goes about his schedules. - 3rd Wave: Pray that God will continue to bring the team to various countries this year to share the Gospel through powerful songs. PJ will be in Indonesia Jan. 15-19. Pray for a safe trip and that his messages will impact and touch lives as the Spirit moves in the audiences. - Brian Kim: Thanksgiving for the LA tour last month. Pray that God will provide Brian with a fresh start this year and continue to use him as His vessel through music and testimonies wherever He brings him. - Onnuri English Ministry: Pray for the various events that are coming up this month that they will proceed smoothly and the love and joy as well as blessings of knowing Jesus will be felt. On Jan. 18 and Jan. 25, the Elderly Ministry will be doing outreaches to the local community by visiting local villages to serve them through hot meals and briquettes to warm their homes. Pray for the hearts of these villagers to be warmed by these thoughtful gestures as well as the Gospel. On Jan. 21-23, Jerusalem Ministry will be holding their 6th annual Arts & Crafts Camp at Youngnak Church for elementary school girls from various children’s homes (orphanages) in Seoul. Pray for everyone to enjoy the camp and the time of fellowship. On Jan. 25, OEM will be hosting a one-day State of the Ministry retreat for ministry leaders to plan, prepare, and pray for the ministries of the church. Pray for their leadership as they gather to seek God’s will in 2014. - Felicia: Thanksgiving to Brian and his fans, who are the nicest and kindest fans; she feels blessed to be a part of BFFs. - Raeha: Pray for God to guide her as she finishes her preparations for her missions trip to China. - Emy: Pray for her studies as she is starting school in two weeks times and going back to being a student after working. Pray that God will help her transition back to being a student and guide her in managing her time and keeping things in balance so that she can always do her best for Him. - Ebony: Pray that her family is happy and healthy. Also, pray that she can pursue her dream to be a singer and to be with the right company as well as living in her dream city, Seoul.

Thanksgiving that God has given him this opportunity to shine on stage for the past 3 months. Pray that Brian can stay in good health as he fulfills the rest of his schedule this month. May he enjoy a wonderful Christmas holiday with loved ones. - 3rd Wave: Thanksgiving for the amazing time that the team had in Chiang Mai, Thailand last month. What an awesome thing to witness God working firsthand! Pray for the team who will be part of GKYM Dec. 26-28 at Onnuri Community Church Yangjae campus. - Brian Kim: Pray for Brian to have good health as he continues his worship tour in LA this month. Pray for God's anointing and wonderful times of fellowship with brothers and sisters. - Onnuri English Ministry: Pray for Pastor Eddie who will be having a meeting with the US State Department's Office to Combat Trafficking in Persons from Washington, DC today (11th in Korea) to update them on trafficking issues in Korea. Thanksgiving for the growing partnership that has been happening between the US government and OEM. Please pray that they will continue to help each other and strategize well to bring change to Korea and freedom for the captives. - Raeha: Christmas is coming and holidays can be difficult for those who've lost loved ones or have other disappointments. Let's remember those who have difficulty finding the merry in Merry Christmas. Also, thanksgiving for God's guidance for today's meeting with World Missions, and if things work out, she can be going to China within the next 2-3 months. Please pray for God to continue to prepare the way for Raeha. - Kachina: Test results for Kachina's recent medical exam for her kidneys came out normal. Thanksgiving for God giving her peace prior to the test and that her health is okay. - Dahnne: Recently, Dahnne almost had a stroke due to high blood pressure and it was certainly a wake-up call for her. Thanksgiving that God got her to the hospital in time and for His hands of protection. Pray that she will pay close attention to her health from now on and that she will feel the love and support from family and friends.

May God keep him in good health and a lot of people will watch the show. - 3rd Wave: Pray for the team members (PJ, Brian, Xander, Lim, etc.) as they prepare to go to Chiangmai, Thailand Nov. 22-24 for the Abundant Life Festival with Franklin Graham. May God give them travel mercy as well as use them to be His "Soldiers of Light" as they sing praises and share testimonies of His goodness and faithfulness. Also, pray that the new album to make an impact across Asia and beyond. - Brian Kim: Pray for Brian as he prepares for the upcoming LA tour next month. May God give him a time of rest and renewal back home in San Antonio, Texas. Pray that God will continue to inspire him to write music that will touch many lives. - Onnuri English Ministry: Pray for Pastor Eddie, who will be meeting with government leaders from the US and key representatives from Korea and Thailand this Wednesday to Thursday about trafficking issues and orphan/foster care issues to determine what can be done to help these precious people. Pray for protection, provision, and a path to properly care for the fatherless, the widows, and the vulnerable in our communities. Also, may OEM continue to be at the forefront in this fight for justice and freedom to be representative of what the Church should do in following God's heart as we were all once orphans adopted into the Kingdom of God. - Raeha: Pray for her three friends who are in some difficult situations right now. Due to the sensitivity of the issues, she could not go into detail. So, please just intercede on their behalf. - Jessica: Pray for her dad's surgery to proceed smoothly tomorrow and that he will recover quickly. May God grant the doctors wisdom to take care of Jessi's dad and provide peace within the hearts of Jessi and her family. - Diane: Pray for the Philippines, especially the families who were deeply affected by the typhoon. - Irene: Pray for the victims of the typhoon and earthquake in the Philippines. - Philippines: Typhoon Haiyan has led to devastating numbers in death toll. Pray for God to heal the people of this land, to protect them and to provide comfort and safety during this time of crisis. Pray that people around the world will show support through prayers and donations, and that rescue workers and organizations such as World Vision, Red Cross, etc. can provide help (food, shelter, medical treatment, etc.) as needed. Lastly, pray for those in Vietnam as the typhoon is headed that way.

May God give him strength and energy so that his rehearsals will go smoothly. Also, pray for good rapport for the cast. - 3rd Wave: Pray for the All for 1 praise and worship concert in Jakarta, Indonesia that is taking place tomorrow. The team will be travelling there today, so please pray for travel mercy. May God shake Indonesia through this joint event with Indonesian artists to worship Him with one voice, one heart. - Brian Kim: Pray for a smooth transition to Vancouver, Canada now that Brian has moved there. May God grant him time to recharge and relax while finding inspiration to write new songs. Pray that God will continue to pour down His blessings upon him as he ministers wherever He sends him. - Onnuri English Ministry: Thanksgiving that Pastor Eddie had the opportunity to participate in a meeting with the Korean government regarding the trafficking of foreigners into Korea. May God oversee the new laws and policies that will be considered as a result of that meeting. Pray for changes, protection, freedom, and justice for all. May He guide the Church in prayers to bring justice to the justice systems of Korea. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done. - Kachina: Pray for her niece Adrianna who had fallen and hurt her elbow. Please pray for a speedy recovery. - Raeha: Pray for her cousin Gina who got bitten by a spider around two months ago. The bite has gotten infected and Gina is still having problems. Her weight has dropped tremendously because she cannot eat much and has not been able to hold any food down. Also, she has been having blood pumped into her since the infection has gotten into her blood. She has bumps (like a rash) in various spots of her body and down her throat as well. Things are not looking good right now. Please pray for doctors to be able to find proper treatment for the infection and for Gina to get well.

I usually ask fans what you'd like to pray for for Brian and keep track of your prayer requests. =============================================== Prayer items for August 10th, 2013: - Brian Joo: Thanksgiving for the time that Brian had in Los Angeles to attend the 2013 Reebok CrossFit Games. He had a wonderful time there with friends and it was a really great experience for him. Pray that God will keep Brian in good health now that he is back to the regular schedule of DJ-ing and filming various shows. May God grant him strength and energy as well as protection and safety, especially in the heat when filming outdoors. - 3rd Wave: The team is heading to Indonesia next month for the ALL FOR 1 concert taking place in Jakarta with other Indonesian artists. Brian, Alexander, and PJ will be attending. Pray that God will draw people to this concert and that He will move the hearts of everyone to worship with one heart and one voice. May God grant wisdom to the pastors who will be sharing messages. Also, pray for travel safety for those who are flying from other countries. May God keep everyone who is serving humbled and healthy. - Brian Kim: Pray for Brian as he is leaving on the 19th and will be part of Toronto KOSTA from Aug. 20-23. Pray for God to use him and other speakers as a channel to share God's Word with those in attendance. The theme is "Set free into Fullness!" and it is taking place at the Nottawasage Resort. After this Toronto stop, Brian will be heading to Vancouver. He is moving there for the next six months or so. Pray that God will help him and his wife transition to living in Canada, and that the move will go smoothly. - Onnuri English Ministry: Thanksgiving for the enthusiastic response to Pastor Eddie's book "Justice Awakening" (Korean version) with its first printing almost sold out and second printing under way soon. May God continue to use this book to impact lives and raise up the Church to fight for justice and put an end to modern-day slavery. Tomorrow (11th) is the 25th anniversary of OEM. Praises to God for blessing this ministry for the past 25 years. May He continue to direct the steps of the leaders as OEM continues to grow and reflect the love of Jesus, taking up the Cross as a Church. Also, pray for the upcoming "Honoring Life: Blessing Moms and Babies" conference on Aug. 16-17. May God use this event to educate, encourage, and empower those undergoing crisis pregnancies. - Raeha: First, please pray for her friend who has experienced the loss of her baby after months of trying and finally getting pregnant. It must be devastating for the friend and her husband. Pray for healing and that God will bless the couple with another child so that the two can have the family that they have always desired. And for Raeha herself, pray that God will pave the way as she recently got accepted into an online course in order to prepare for teaching English in China when she goes there as a missionary. Pray that she can study well as she hasn't been a student in 7 years, and that this will bring enough income to finish out her budget amount for her missionary trip.

I usually ask fans what you'd like to pray for for Brian and keep track of your prayer requests. =============================================== Prayer items for June 10th, 2013: - Brian Joo: Thanksgiving for wrapping up "The Memory 2013" musical and finishing 3rd at the Asia Regional of the CrossFit Games with his team. As he heads home to New Jersey later this month, pray that he will have a safe trip and a wonderful time catching up with family and friends. Pray that God will give him the much-needed rest and help him be re-energized during this down time. - 3rd Wave: The IGNITE: S.O.L. concert/conference is just around the corner on June 21-22. Pray that everyone attending will have travel safety if coming from overseas. May God grant the speakers wisdom and the artists as well as all who are serving a humble heart. Let this be an event that is dedicated to God and that through it, His children will be called forth to commit to His purpose--being Soldiers of Light!! - Brian Kim: Pray for Brian for his upcoming worship concerts and other schedules. May God always give him strength and rest so that he can keep his fire going for Him. Also, Brian and his wife, Jenny, are preparing to move to Vancouver, Canada towards the end of August for about six months (till March 2014). Pray that God will help them with all the details for the move and for the transition to go smoothly. - Onnuri English Ministry: OEM is currently conducting a "Share a Pair Drive", which is collecting sneakers  (500 pairs) for the homeless near Seoul Station. Pray that the drive goes well. Thanksgiving for the Summer Retreat last month, which was an amazing and fruitful experience with the insights that were shared. In addition, pray for South Korea as her "suicide rate has been the highest among developed nations for the past eight years." This is alarming! Pray for people who are considering suicide to realize that their lives are precious and that those who are close to them could recognize the signs and provide attention, love, and support. Also, pray for those in the entertainment industry since their colleagues often opt for suicide when things become too stressful to handle. Such news reports are disheartening and could potentially lead to others thinking that committing suicide is the way out. Pray for more support networks to be in place and also for people to have a more compassionate heart towards others who may be having a hard time. Lastly, pray for those in North Korea, especially the orphans who need much care. - Jenny: Pray for her aunt, whose health is unwell since she has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital. - Padma and Sarah: Pray for wisdom as they write exams and that they will have sufficient time to study and prepare well. May God bless them with good health and restful sleep. - Raeha: Pray for God to equip her spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially as she prepares for her missions trip to China. She has been facing some challenges. May God grant her peace and comfort throughout this process as He molds her and teaches her. Pray that she can lean on Him for strength and wisdom.
