If you were to put together a list of movies to watch before seeing Shin Godzilla, what would you put on it? I definitely need to rewatch the original film, of course, maybe GMK, but what else? Or do you think it would be better to go in cold, without trying to compare it to other films?

What would you say is the absolute worst movie you've watched all the way through?
Oh wow - there are a lot of contenders.
I have a high tolerance for crap, and I can usually find some way to be amused. I mean, I’ve sat through Birdemic, but we laughed our asses off the whole way through, so it wasn’t a total waste of time. Blood Waters of Doctor Z had one of the most hilarious lines from anything ever, that made for one of the best MST host segments ever.
Some things are just too bitter, mean-spirited, cheap, uninterested, and/or tawdry to find any amusement in, though. Viva Knievel was one of those; for a vanity pic it sure made him look like a smug asshole. Swamp of the Ravens was another grind through an uninteresting plot and awful people. Films like this tend to be an endurance exercise more than anything else - like Invasion of the Neptune Men; why did so many people come together and work for so long to make something this dull and unwatchable?
I hate hate hate being woken up before I need to get up or wake up naturally. Especially when sick.
But I'm surprisingly okay with it when it's to help a friend figure out if my boyfriend is mad at him for sending him a dick pic of his dick posing as the kaiju Helmethead and fighting Crimson Typhoon.
I don't know what I did to win the "the people I know are the best" jackpot, but I sure do love that I have.
I ship Luther and Alice more than Will and Hannibal.
My boyfriend… and while I’ve not watched Luther (for shame, I know) I will say I very much disagree, because Hannibal, ugh, first love ages ago… however, I am super proud of him for shipping in the first place. Total winner.
