" You have to teach those around you that when the 'victim' overcomes the trauma-learning from it, changing from it, changing from it, and moving beyond it-she becomes a survivor, physically, mentally, and spiritually."
For the first quote I used one from the introduction.
Some might wonder what happened or how this quote is 'special' to me. I've realized that there's worse out there that can happen, but my parents' divorce and other big events that have happened make me able to feel something for this quote.
My parents' divorce helps me feel something for this quote because the divorce in itself and other events that have happened as a result have changed me, and taught me things I wouldn't of learned had the divorce not happened,
Another reason/way I have feeling for this quote is it reminds me of my grandma Pat. Anyone that knows my grandma knows that she has had a history of heart problems. She's ok now, but there have been times when we've wondered how she'd turn out. She has taught me a lot by her attitude and the way she handles when she's going to a doctor's appointment or getting ready to have an operation.
Well this was probably way longer of an explanation than necessary but I don't feel it would have been explained any other way.
