general 9+18 briss pls
9: "i'm too drunk to drive"
18: "i think i can hear colors"
you were seated comfortably on the living room couch of the your best friends house. nursing the half full glass of water as your eyes dances around the room trying to track down your califorina native boyfriend who was most likely one drink away from being a fit of giggles. when you e/c finally found him leaning against the wall your hunch was confirmed. his drunken giggles had slowly started to fill the living room you were sitting in filled with your high school friends.
"hey briss?" you called, waving him over to come sit next to you. "can you come 'ere for me baby?" you then asked sweetly, knowing when wine drunk he goes absolutely nuts for you calling him 'baby.' and just like that he was crossing the room to you. when the light caught his cheeks you could see just how red they were from the alcohol, and how he had a stream of giggles pouring from his mouth.
his hands were out in front of his body reaching for you instantly, and you couldn't help the way the smile grew on your face. "y/n/n?" he asked as if he was a little boy in trouble, "i have the giggles." his bashful confession made your heart sore knowing you were in love with the sweetest boy alive. leaning forward you set your glass down before taking his hands in yours to pull him to sit next to you.
smiling you kissed his head before brushing the hair off his forehead. "i can tell, baby," you answered smoothly, drinking in his appearance once more. his black silk shirt undone with the first couple of buttons.
"how!" he then howled, giggling the entire time his head dropped down against your chest. nuzzling against you instantly.
"because you're giggling right now, sweet boy," you hummed while looking down at him as the next fit of giggles took hold of his body.
this time he was giggling so hard that he let out a small hiccup before he nuzzled his head against you again. "'m too drunk to drive."
you let out a small sigh before you combed your finger through his hair once more. just barely starting to massage his scalp as you spoke, "oh i could've told you that two hours ago, briss." right away he was looking up at you with a pout, clearly not impressed you had called him out. leaning forward you pecked his lips before smiling. "but i've got you, baby. i'll get you home," you reassured calmly.
"your home," he hiccuped, his hand that was still intertwined with yours gave it a soft squeeze. "wanna go to your home," he then whispered, completely having forgotten that your home was the only place he could go considering he was visiting your family with you before he headed to vegas for rookie camp.
nodding your head you squeezed his hand back, "we can do that."
"and sleep together!" he exclaimed, almost everyone in the living room area turning to look at the two of you. while your cheeks flushed red, brendan's face fell realizing what he had just drunkenly announced to the whole room. "but, but not like the bad - the good way!" he corrected, his drunken ramblings only continuing from there. "like sleeping in the same bed, we do the bad way. a lot. but the good way! where you cuddle me."
a small giggle of your own passed by your lips as you stared down at him. nodding your head, "i know what you mean, bren. i know you meant the good way, and we can. i'll make sure to cuddle you, sweet boy." the smile that was previously on brendan's face once blossomed, as well as his cheeks darkening in color.
"wanna be right on top of my girl," he then insisted straightening himself up against he couch. giggling when he looked into your eyes. "cause she so cuddly, and cute. and i love her, and she takes such good care of me. she's so cute. gonna follow me to vegas. wear the black and gold. or is it grey and gold, i dunno!" the entire time he rambled he couldn't help but sneak in a couple of giggles, but his eyes never left yours.
"we'll figure out what colors vegas are later, but right now i wanna get you home. okay, bren?" you asked while leaning in closer to him. "'m gonna go say goodbye quick and grab our coats, can you stay right here for me?"
let out a small 'mhm' before leaning in to kissing you. it was soft, and you could taste the wine that had painted his lips a deeper shade of red. when you pulled away he was pouting up at you once more, trying to hold back a hiccup, "please hurry, i think i can hear colors."
your mouth fell open as you stared down at him in disbelief, "baby, what are- what are you talking about?"
"the colors!" he repeated, trying to stifle his giggles, "i can hear them! they're talking to me."
a nervous chuckle fell past your lips as you stood up from the couch, reaching for you water glass once more to hand to your boyfriend. "and what are the colors saying to you right now, brendan?"
his face paled at you calling him his full name, a rare occurrence. "that um - they're, they're saying that my girlfriend is really really pretty!" a giggle fell from his mouth after his confession, and you couldn't help but shake your head at him.
"remind me to not let you have wine for the rest of the time we're here," you mumbled more so to yourself as you handed him the water. "here baby, drink the rest of this and i'll be right back, okay?"
he nodded his head vigorously as he took the glass from your hand. his fingers just barely ghosting over the promise ring he had given you. "hey!" he pouted while pointing at the ring on your finger. "who gave you that! do they know you have a boyfriend? do they know i'm your boyfriend?"
tilting your head to the side you gave him a tight lipped smile, "bren, baby, you gave it to me. it's my promise ring."
"oh." he silently started to drink the glass of water, stealing small glances up at you as he did. "i think i don't drink wine anymore after tonight."
you nodded your head before leaning over and kissing his forehead, "i think that's a good idea."
