I know this only happens to someone else. I know you have an alarm and a dog and your doors are locked. Listen to me. Criminals don't care about those little details. A criminal can kick in your door, while your alarm is going off, hurt your dog or maybe your dog just runs out the door because it is scared, then the criminal steels your new television. They don't care about the hole they made when they ripped the tv out of the wall. How long did it take for the criminal to do this. 30 seconds maybe. Don't believe me?????? Stand at your front door with the door closed for 5 seconds, open your door, walk in. Put your hands on your tv, pretend you have cable cutters, pretend to cut the cable, now pretend you are taking the tv back out of your house. I bet with some practice you can do it in less than 15 seconds. I know I can. A better option for this home owner would have been to cut the cardboard into smaller pieces and put it in there recycling can and break up the styrofoam. An even better option would have been to take the box and all and dropped it off in a dumpster away from the house. Is your house secure? Are you sure? Do you want to be sure?
