lately i’ve been working on smth where spock (for various reasons—shan’t spoil the premise now) uses they/them pronouns and it’s interesting to try to articulate that experience, refracted through a character and course with due consideration given to futurism and alien-ness. i don’t know. i like it a lot but i also keep worrying that i ought to scrap the whole attempt. but comments like the ones this person are leaving remind me that the attempt at least is worth something
