Introduce yourself
Hi im Breadcrumbss. I'm a 21 year old Dutch artist. I studies animation and concept art, and besides drawing i like to walk outside on warm days for an hour or so.
When did you start drawing? Are you a digital or traditional artist?
I started drawing when i was Really young, i got inspired by my big sister who kept drawing winx characters. I always took art seriously but decided i wanted to go to art school when i was around 14. I'm a digital artist.
Do you use any traditional mediums? If so, which are your favorites?
I do not use tradional mediums, I only draw with my Wacom Bambo tablet. However, I do have a bunch of sketchbooks that are just waiting to be used someday.
Why do you prefer traditional over digital? (or viceversa)
As concept artist it's important to work digitally. It's also just handier and easier for me personally to work digitally.
What do you think is the most challenging part about being a traditional/digital artist?
When working on a tablet the eye - hand coordination is different then drawing on paper. It can sometimes feel unnatural, especially after drawing on paper or a Cintiq for a while.
What inspires your pieces?
I follow many other artist on various media platforms, they inspire me to create. Ofcourse I also get inspired from the beautiful visuals from movies and series.

Explain your "everyday" drawing process
I saved a lot of drawings from artist that contain elements that i find visually pleasing. Looking at those drawings help me find inspiration. And sometimes inspiration just comes to me out of nowhere.
Do you have an artist you admire (or more than one)?
I'm currently a big fan of Nkim_illustrate and Heikala_art on twitter. Other then them I can't really think of more names although i'm sure there are other artist I admire.
Is there an artwork you are most proud of? Why?
Since im very busy learning and improving in art, the artwork i'm most proud of is often the last big one I make. Till i make another one.
Do you listen to music (or tv shows/films/anything else) when drawing?
I tend to just listen to whatever youtube suggests, fantasy/game music or a podcast like Adventure zone.

What makes art interesting for you?
The ability to make ideas and concepts into a real thing is so intersesting to me.
What do you do when art block strikes?
I take a little break. But i very rarely have art block.
What’s the most valuable art advice you’ve ever received?
Sometimes an art piece is done, but u continue to work and mess around with little things for a couple more hours. U then gotta ask yourself.. are those hours really worth it? Does it improve your art? Sometimes u just gotta let things that are done Be done.
