Clara realised too late that she was still so weak and dizzy, too much so to even sit up. So when she went to sit, the girl immediately collapsed back onto her pillows with a sigh of frustration. She just wanted to go home. What was happening to the little ones?

Élise was working with the Rooks quite often these days, but she didn’t talk to them much. She was a former Templar and even if she disagreed with Starrick’s ways, some people - such as Evie - still didn’t trust her. She was LUCKY to have Jacob though, who had quickly made her feel like she could find a new home in this version of London. 

Ah, had he gone too far for his Rooks to handle this time? Consorting with the enemy, Evie would call it, though he'd personally disagree since the man was acting in Assassin interests. Still…

The wind was easily knocked out of him by the unexpected assault and his head spun from where he'd banged against the harsh brick he was being pressed again, slight wince accompanying his frown. This did not bode well…

"C'mon Danny, what're you doin' eh? Think for a second. Do you really think I'd betray my friends and family? And for what? Here I thought you lot had more faith in me…"

And that did hurt… What he was doing with Roth on the side did no one any harm and it caused nothing but trouble for Starrick. Hell, his dear sister hadn't even caught on yet! All the better for it that she was so distracted with her research then.

But the mere thought of his Rooks, men and women he was personally training, turning against him sent his stomach plummeting. If the Rooks turned against him… It'd be a bloodbath.
