Senior Portraits - glamour shots to go. Burnsville, NC. Jaimie works at his paps tyre shop off the frontage road just east of town. Said his Mamma always told him he could be a fashion model. He did his runway walk for me and had done a shoot for regional Woolworth circular when he was a kid. Still framed in the family room. His left side is all messed up from an injury - but kid is in good shape - very statuesque and ripped, super ripped. Almost Scary. I watched him work for a while before I swept in for the kill - his job is to pile tyres all day. Tattooed - big back piece. Hope he likes it.

Penland postmaster - Bill Morgan. Bill goes down to the town post office by the rail road track twice a day to collect the school mail before chopping his wood every night for his fireplace. His father was a diplomat and worked for the US government as the cultural advisor for arts and crafts. Bill grew up in India and the Middle East and spoke fondly of his memories growing up closely with the marine merchants. He has two dogs and has been wearing the same jacket for longer then I have been alive. Torn and tattered by thirty plus years of stacking and carrying chords of Smokey Mountain lumber every day. Really sweet man, endless stories. Local legend.
