A bra band usually rides up when it is too loose, the shoulder straps are pulled too tight, or the cups do not provide enough room.

Try raising your arms and checking the band in a mirror. It should stay relatively level around your body instead of moving upward at the back.

Before tightening the straps again, check whether:

• The band feels secure on the loosest hook • The cups fully contain the breast tissue • The straps sit comfortably without digging in • The elastic still returns to its original shape

For fuller busts, wider underbands, supportive side panels, and fuller cup coverage may provide a more stable fit.
