I would like to commend and shine some light on all the young boys that dance. Being a boy that dance is not an easy thing, there's is a lot of ridicule that comes with it. But it takes more guts for a boy to walk into a dance studio than to walk on a basketball court, baseball or football field. It also takes a certain type of individual to take it upon himself and tell his parents that he wants to sign up for dance. While you are heading to the studio, majority of your friends are probably heading to a park or playing video games. So I would like to give a hand to all the boys I ever taught in my career. Just know that what you are doing is unique and special and if you can walk into a predominantly female environment then you will be able to walk into environment in life and make your presence known. I will continue to serve as an inspiration and encourage more young boys to open up to dance despite the stereotypes, also know that I look up to you guys as well for having the courage to start at such young ages and being open minded. I wish I had found dance as early as some of you did.
