This is a true fact. I don’t drink coffee regularly though, so a trip downtown is usually what I do. I don’t know of many people with their own coffee makers in the rooms, and I don’t think my house (Lawrence) has one. I do know a few people who have keurig machines though. Coffee makers are allowed as long as there is no exposed electrical or heating element, so the keurig and other coffee pod machines satisfy the requirement.

Hey! I’m from somewhere that doesn’t get as cold as Northampton so I had the same question! In my experience having some sort of warm underlayer, a hat, and a long warm coat are the most essential. In January or February a lot of stores have really good sales on winter coats!

Congratulations!! In addition to what Hazel has said, it can get really cold in Massachusetts so layering is essential. A good pair of snow boots and a scarf to fight off the wind have been crucial for me at Smith.
