I'm reading your family rants and I want to say I really understand how you feel. Our families are generally supportive but only really on their own terms. My family wanted me to do mathematical degree just because I'm Asian. Man it rocks and sucks to be Asian at the same time huh? Haha
Aaaa I actually have it very very lucky since no one's ever spoken against me for pursuing art as a career, and have all actually been very proud of the fact that I'm majoring in animation. I guess I just wanted to vent a little about my grandparents, but honestly I have it really good u__u sorry I was just being a big baby!
I have friends who have had family pressure them into giving up their passion for more stable careers though, so yeah, I am very aware how much it can suck growing up in an Asian family when you have all that pressure on you from the adults in your life.

71. What makes you nervous?
Tbh lotta things. I suffer from anxiety and lately it’s been getting bad i.e. feeling one coming on as i get into work despite not being clocked in yet and not having anything to do or any tables. Usually new situations make me nervous, sometimes expressing certain things despite how open i am, and currently my living situation. I always remind myself to breathe and focus on calming down.

GOD i am and its the worst. My besties and gf torment me and its awful and all i can do is make dying animal noises and flop on the ground (its pretty funny to watch)
96. How did you get your name?
Its a combination of my dad and my grandma’s name if i recall. My dad’s name is Doel, and my grandma’s name is Lydia. However that grandma always spells my name like “Doelis” and my other grandma is named Iris so ????????????? and last time i tried to confirm this with my mom even though i swear she told me this she was like “naw” so its a mystery but thats a simple story i tell other people who are curious rofl
