he wasn't an expert on werewolf things. duncan knows that. but even he knows that you don't rush into a territory claimed by another wolf without a damn good reason. or be stronger than the other wolf. and as duncan stared at alcide? he didn't have any delusions about being able to win a fight. “um… look. i know it's rude. if i could have gone around, i would have. but i had hunters on my trail.” thankfully, his friend nate had tipped him off before they had attacked. and that had given duncan a few precious moments to prepare himself. “please… don't kill me.” he begged, his puppy dog eyes coming out in full effect. “i just got turned like a few months ago.”
