Sage and Jessica ||Â Bottle up and Explode
It was a bad idea, Sage knew it was a bad idea the second she though of it. Her head was running all over the place. Once again all of the emotions sheâd been suppressing bubbled up, Â she felt confused, lost, and beyond frustrated with life. She wasnât in the state of mind where she could deal with things and definitely not in the state of mind to deal with things around people but against her better judgement she left the house.Â
Walking to the nearest open bar she found herself a stool âgive me the strongest shot you haveâ Sage muttered to the bartender, second guessing herself once again. Sage had never in her life drank to feel nothing. She had drank to feel brave, to feel fuzzy, even just for fun, but never to feel nothing. It wasnât her, but then again she didnât really know who she was right now. She was a bit of a light weight so she knew it wouldnât take her long not to feel. Although her first day at work was tomorrow and she knew sheâd regret it. Sitting there, she ordered her first drink. The second the glass hit her lips the drink was down her throat. She downed it as soon as the bartender put it down, and immediately asked for another one. Doing the same âWhat are you doing Sage?â she questioned herself. She stared at the third drink intently hoping that it would somehow tell her not to drink it, but soon she had six shot under her belt and counting. She was feeling slightly inebriated.Â
Sage wasnât sure she could force herself to take the next shot, she just didnât want to feel anything. Not the hurt from losing her whole family all at once, not the anxiety of moving to a new place where she knew no one, and most importantly for a day she just wanted not to feel like her life was torn apart because she was gay. She was staring at the drink like it had three heads, she was sure to everyone around her she looked crazy. She could see the stupid stereotypical little shoulder devil and angel. Each one telling her theyâre own idea of what she should do; she should just go home and sleep it off, tomorrow was another day, a new day. She should drink her feelings into oblivion, drown her pain in vodka. âOne more Sage, and then youâre going homeâ she told herself, âthis one should help you go straight to bed. She was about to take her "lastâ shot when she felt a nudge on her shoulder.
