Connor had spent his entire life not letting anyone get close - keeping everyone at arm’s length, shooting brief, flippant remarks towards people when he thought they were getting a bit closer than he wanted them to. But Steve was different. Had been different for way longer than he wanted to admit - it was easy for him to fall into habits, routines, and he didn’t quite know why. It was the most comfortable Connor had ever felt in his own skin, and though he never said it out loud, he tried to share his appreciation with the other male. Eyes falling shut at the feeling on his hand against the back of his head, the spy tried not to grin - though when Steve turned, he couldn’t stop the expression from passing over his face.
Hands sliding up absentmindedly to loop around the back of the other’s neck, Connor let out a soft hum, eyebrow quirking up just a touch. “Lucky for you, I know CPR,” he muttered, teasing lilt to his voice as he allowed to fingertips to massage the back of his neck lightly. “And, I’m particularly good at mouth to mouth.” He doubted Steve was even capable of heart attacks anyway, even if he technically was an old man. / @bottlemade ; cont.
