https://youtu.be/fHyUNmlq3SM?si=KkF2Z6sJ6uT-B4t5 ¿Does anyone remember my concerns that Rebecca Parham received backlash for being a white girl 👩🏻 yet voicing Maribel who is a black girl? 👩🏾 Well apparently the feedback she got was overwhelmingly positive, it’s common for an animation school 🏫 student to voice the characters. She even voiced the woman who called Maribel onto the stage. I was just worried they’d see that as on opportunity to hate on her. Plus she didn’t even use a “blackcent,” she just used an opera singer voice for that opera.

I hope Rebecca Parham didn’t receive any backlash because she’s white. 👩🏻 But she had to voice Marylin who is a black girl. 👩🏾 But personally I don’t even care that she had to voice her. Especially since she didn’t use a “blackcent,” instead she used an opera singer voice for this bottle opera.
