Posting this on tumblr so it can be posted to the subreddit but if a post on r/curatedtumblr has an emoji at the start of the title it's almost certainly a bot and more people need to be aware of this fact

Gotta hand it to em - the bots are getting marginally more convincing.
I have this habit where every time i get followed on any blog, I check to see if its a person or a bot, just to make sure I dont end up with bots mixed in over time.
Today, i was followed by a blog, and it had a normalish tumblr name and a pfp. Solid start.
I click on the blog. It's got a custom color scheme and stuff, a pinned post...
Pinned post is unreadable. Language I don't know? Oh, tagged as "original language". Neat, maybe someone has a blog they only post to as practice for a conlang they made up-
Theres like twenty posts on the blog and they're all just the exact same picture as the pfp with different gibberish captions.
Right. Spam bot. They figured that claiming the gibberish was a conlang would cover for the bot being stupid, I assume.
But theres no hiding the fact that they definitely just picked a random photo off the internet, made it their pfp, then spam posted it a bunch to give the account some kind of "activity history".
Still, it had me convinced for about seven seconds longer than most bot blogs, so I'll give them that.
