ADAM GREEN: "This was the only song co-written for the album, by myself with a friend Jack, who played in the Moldy Peaches with me. We always do impressions of people from Long Island, which is close to New York City. It has a particular accent and some customs which are funny to us, so we do impressions of these women from Long Island. Anyway, he does this one who's a real bitch. We got to thinking about her as this ugly, middle aged woman, who despite the fact that she has virtually nothing to offer a man is a bully to men - she Henpecks. You heard of that phrase? It's a woman who controls a man depite there not being much great about them. She's just very commanding. So we came up with this idea: let's say that she can never be satisfied - that her ego is continually looking for a man who would finally tell her to shut the fuck up. And so she finally finds a man who's drunk and abusive. And the second that they actually fuck, he starts to become a whoose. And so the song is a lament about how the boss inside of this man died. Despite the fact that he was her last hope of being the drunk, abusive guy she was looking for.
