While this Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge rainbow isn’t reading, it is stunning. Home to some of the best birding in the United States, this New Mexico refuge is a birder’s paradise.
Situated between the Chupadera Mountains to the west and the San Pascual Mountains to the east, the refuge is well known for the tens of thousands of cranes, geese, and ducks who winter there each year.
