ive spent a stupid amount of time thinking abt suspended animation in fiction (like. frozen in the past unfrozen in the present of the story) lately specially today and unrelated to that i was watching random video essays on the mcu so i just heard tony call steve “the old man” so like. tony sees steve as older, yes? even tho steve is 30 and tony is 44? does steve see tony as someone younger? even tho tony is, physically, 14 years older than he is? does he see him as an equal, even tho he’s physically significantly older, and chronologically significantly younger?
