What is meant by infinity?
I’ve had a constant thought project going on for the past couple years about the nature of infinity.  What is it?  What can be known about it?  Are there multiple types of it?  Are some infinities bigger than others?  If so, how many and what kinds?  Etc, etc.
It is my personal pastime, perhaps, producing persistent particulars pertaining to profusion.
So to begin, I would like to discuss what exactly I mean by infinity, and I will probably do a ton of boring blog posts on it because I love thinking about it.
When I use the word infinity, for this discussion, I do not mean either an all encompassing sequence of numbers, or an infinitely large number, though those are each a type of infinity. Â I will discuss them when I talk about different sorts of infinities, but for now, what I mean by infinite is this:
Any unbounded thing.
This is the literal reading of the word: (in)finite. Â To not be finite. Â To have no end. Â To cease never.
This could be restricted merely to numbers(which is what I intend to do for the majority of these discussions) or could mean something like the human soul, which may or may not be bounded. Â Probably not.
As for numbers, I absolutely adore discussing them(though never playing with them, math is scary), so I will begin by discussing what types of infinities there are in order to make an attempt at answering the first two questions. Â Though, whether they will ever be answered is yet to be seen.
So for the select few who might actually be interested in this(probably just me), enjoy. Â I will ramble on types of infinities later.
