Dropping it here since this helped with my dog because I kept thinking he just needed more exercise and that wasn’t really the problem. 

Electronic and interactive dog toys make your pooch happier by keeping them entertained even when you can’t play with them yourself.  Our pups need a lot of playtime, exercise, and engaging enrichment activities to help keep their bodies AND minds busy. As much as we’d love to play with them nonstop, we’re not always around all day to do so. Plus, let’s be honest, we don’t always have nearly as much energy as our beloved canine companions, do we?

According to PetMD, when dogs suffer from loneliness or boredom, it can affect many aspects of their lives. Bored dogs are more destructive, for one thing. They can also gain weight from lack of activity, which leads to a whole long litany of other issues.

Interactive dog toys are a great solution for bored dogs! That’s why I decided to research and test different smart toys available on the market that keep dogs busy! While quite a few that I tested ended up broken and in the trash a lot sooner than I expected, I did find a good-sized handful of awesome options that my dog really liked.

Just wanted to share something that’s been working really well for me and my dog lately, in case it helps anyone else dealing with a bored little menace at home.

The PetGeek Automatic Playbone is a great interactive toy for your dog to play with while you are busy working. This electronic bone is shaped like a conventional bone but this one can move automatically in unexpected ways. It’s also very easy to use. I love that it does not require any Bluetooth connection for it to work. You just press the power button, pat it afterward, and just let it go on the floor for your dog to play and have fun with it!
