Because I retain every tiny bit of information about this guy cus he’s my fave and there’s so little backstory for him. :’( I gotta get it all out of my head so here is a little ramble about my blorbo. I am obsessed. Help. I also use Fl4k as evidence to back up some of these because they have quite a bit in common.

Canon:

-He doesn’t breathe! This is the biggest one for me. I’ve yet to find a fic that gets this detail right, but it’s very subtle and easy to miss so I don’t blame them, it’s 100% true though. Zer0, like Fl4k, doesn’t pant when running, and sometimes says this haiku when getting second wind: I got Second Wind / Metaphorically speaking / Breath overrated. This IMO is the biggest hint we have as to what Zer0 is. That and his four fingers.

-Seems to be able to eat/drink? Unfortunately in bl2 there is barely any player dialogue in the main story (makes me so fucking sad), but apparently in a DLC he specifically makes a comment about the taste of a drink, whereas Fl4k in 3 says they will “feed it to their beast” when asked to eat something. There is also some end-credits art in 3 of Zer0 having a coffee, and there’s a gun in Dragon Keep that makes him drunk from holding it (it’s voice acted and everything).

-His suit turns invisible, not him. (My reason for rejecting "Zer0 is a stalker" theory) When Katagawa steals Zer0′s suit he uses it to cloak and also shouts “Damn Zer0 tech!” when it malfunctions.

-Socially awkward/Social avoidant. He wrings his hands together when he talks, (which is adorable as shit), and chooses to go from place to place while invisible even when on Sanctuary, and uses his cloaking to escape from awkward situations, which is fucking based.

-Absolutely despises banjos and people who play them (also fucking based)

-Doesn’t know what fun is, the only fun he understands is committing violence. Takes things way too seriously sometimes. (His frustration with games that rely on random chance is valid af, but he also needs to chill)

-Has a BIG fucking ego

-”Seems familiar” to Fl4k- huh.

-Says UwU (Important)

-Casual shitposter

-Is a weeb because of course he would be.

-At LEAST partly a robot given the evidence

-Likes to hide in airducts and small places like a fucking gremlin. Enjoys being alone

-Uses swearing as a crutch when he doesn’t know what to say

-Engages in some light thievery and other gremlin activities
