bad news: just got my cavities filled today. except apparently they only were gonna do one side, so i gotta go back again at some point to get the other side done
more bad news: my back top right tooth needs to be removed. medicaid wouldn't cover a crown, so she was just gonna try to pull it
bad: i can't do epinephrine in dental anesthesic. last time i just about passed out on the table bc of it, so this makes filling cavities and pulling teeth even harder/more painful
bad bad: she could only take out half the tooth to be pulled. i got super lightheaded and started getting the "you're gonna pass out" cold sweats, and neither of us wanted me to pass out, so we had to stop where we were. sooooo..... i need to go see a dental surgeon, to get knocked out while they remove the half tooth left
bad bad bad: normally medicaid does not cover for people to go under to get teeth pulled. praying i can get an exception bc otherwise my options are to pass out (epinephrine) or to pass out (no epinephrine). and i do not think doing a procedure where your patient will pass out is acceptable medical practice.
i think what's gonna have to happen is that i get a one day script of a benzo from my pcp and go back to my dentist and get it pulled under local. dont get me wrong, i love my buspar + lexxypro combo, but i need to be Sedated and Relaxed, and while my normal combo is good for the day to day, it's not gonna cut it here. i even took an extra half buspar before my appt yesterday and i was still Nervous and Tense. i need the classic benzo relaxation, where im chill enough to fall asleep in the chair.
we're swapping up some of my pots meds, starting with tapering off florinef. day 2 of half my dose and im tired but unexpectedly chill
hypothesis (a) florinef was ratching up my anxiety
hypothesis (b) my beta blocker gives me fatigue (known fact) that the florinef was covering. less florinef = more fatigue
hypothesis (b)(i) the anxiety still exists, however, beta blocker fatigue completely covers it. no energy = can't be anxious taps forehead
something ive been thinking about, as i get back into reading: a lot of fiction books with villains/antagonists have them be very bland caricatures that could easily be replaced by a roomba with a few knives taped on top. there's no delving into the villain/antagonist as a character, and if they do, it's a superficial level that inherently others them: the classic & ableist "oooooh there was always something ~mentally disturbed~ about them, and now they've got a knife and are Ready To Kill !! 🔪"
it's just this implicit belief of "good people do good things, and bad people do bad things, and there's never any crossover 😇" NO !! give me good people who do bad things, and bad people who do good things. make it morally gray. and i understand that's a little picky of me, but damn. once i started seeing it, i couldn't stop. or maybe im just not reading the right books.

had to take one of my cats to the emergency vet last night bc he was having signs of a possible blockage. luckily, they said it was just a uti, and that he'd be fine to wait until today for an appt with his regular vet. he's still passing urine, just doing frequent drops, and he even peed a little on the entryway mat, but like, that's fine, id rather he keep peeing a little bit rather than risk a blockage.
