Advantages and Disadvantages of BOPE Film
BOPE has strong market potential in flexible packaging. It can be used as a printable base film, a metallized film, and a heat-sealable film.
Compared with BOPP, BOPE offers higher heat-seal integrity and a desirable straight-tear feature, making it easy to open.
Compared with blown PE film, BOPE provides excellent flatness and higher tensile strength. Its puncture resistance is more than twice as high, its haze is lower (approximately 3–5%), and it can be made 30–50% thinner.
Compared with CPP, BOPE has a very significant advantage in lower heat-seal temperature and improved peel strength.

Raw material cost is higher than that of other LLDPE materials
Due to the characteristics of BOPE material, when using existing processing methods for heat-sealing, especially after multilayer lamination, BOPE as the surface layer is prone to shrinkage and wrinkling during the heat-sealing process.
