          it’s  not  something  he’s  ever  really  spoke  of  before.  ever  since  he  left  alabama  ,  bodhi  tried  to  put  his  parents  and  the  incident  behind  him.  although  his  brother’s  always  on  the  back  of  his  mind  ,  bodhi  has  done  his  damnedest  to  live  his  own  life.

          there’s  a  small  frown  upon  his  features  as  he  listens  to  the  other.  his  hand  reaches  out  ,  thumb  brushing  carefully  across  ash’s  cheek.  ❝  oh  ,  hush.  ❞  a  laugh  escapes  bodhi’s  lips  ,  though  there’s  not  much  life  behind  it.  ❝  y’ain’t  got  no  damn  reason  ta’be  sorry  ,  y’hear  me  ?  none  of  it  is  your  fault.  no  point  in  apologizin’  for  shit  we  can’t  control.  ❞

            ❝What are you LOOKING at ?? ❞

he wiggles his way back up the bed, not bothering to open his eyes as he cuddles up to the other man’s warmth again. it takes almost all the energy he has.

her hand is soft, pale and smooth, and he’s wholly unsurprised by this. she is unnaturally cold, though, and it takes some self control not to wince at the ice cold touch.

‘ don’t tell me you’re goin’ soft, now. ’ he muses, keeping his objections rather neutral. best not to upset her. ‘ and here i thought i wasn’t your type. ’

Ash was right.

The Countess could verily well crush his windpipe with one hand. It would take simply a bit of pressure to break his hyoid bone, perhaps, sever his vocal chords to keep him from making one last quip. 

Yet, she held the need to slaughter him at bay. He amused her...for now.
