I’m a chronic ebook buyer, but I rarely read them. Something about a physical book makes me more likely to finish.

Ron Weasley; Fred or George Weasley; Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower; Would’ve had a secret crush on Levi from Fangirl; I liked the funny/goofy guys; the ones I thought I could ‘save,’ and harbored secret loves for the popular boys.

Important moment in your reading life

Reading “Little Women” when I was about 8 or so. I’m an only child, and that book was my first introduction to what having sisters could be like. I also feel like I based most of my future friendships around a sisterly type loyalty. It was a game changer.

Kind of books you won’t read

Much like movies and music, I won’t touch western type books. I’m sure there are some really good ones out there, but I have a deep prejudice that prevents me from enjoying them.

Longest book you’ve read

“The Complete Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm” Read all 800 pages for a fantasy class in college.

Major book hangover because of:

Harry Potter is the biggest one. I haven’t read the books in years, but every so often, I’ll have a Hogwarts dream and spend the next week immersing myself in the movies and fan fiction (I would love to reread the series, but it’s a commitment)

Number of bookcases you own

One five shelf, one three shelf, and a makeshift six shelfer. And there are mini book piles in just about every room.

One book you’ve read multiple times

“Twilight,” just the first one; I reread it whenever I’m sick. I haven’t touched the rest of them though. I pick up random Harry Potter books from time to time, too.

Not reading very much at all last year. I read a grand total of 11 books, and I didn’t even have a job or college taking up my time. All them books that’ll never be read because I was in some sort of funk.

Unapologetic fangirl / fanboy for:

Harry Potter and magic realism novels. When I find one I like, I obsess over it. (Even though HP is clearly fantasy, in my mind, I do still slot it into magical realism in a way because it has the fantastic existing in the same space as our reality.)

Very excited for this release more than all the others

“Carry On” by Rainbow Rowell. I loved Fangirl and can’t wait to see the Simon/Baz side of it.

Worst bookish habit

I’m a reshelfer at the book store. I gather a bunch of books at first, and then slowly over the course of the cash register approach, I start doubting the books and put them back.
