Happy birthday to Edward VI, during whose reign the @thechurchofengland’s first prayer book-now the #bookofcommonprayer was established. The reformation fully took hold during his reign, forever changing the landscape religious & otherwise. Today's #1000BooksToReadBeforeYouDie is The #BookofCommonPrayer Knowing the BCP was coming up on the list, I asked the always-awesome Ann at @secondeditionbooksmt if she had a copy. This battered and loved copy from the late 1800s/early 1900s is what we found. (Thanks, Ann!)
