What are some of the weirdest reasons you’ve picked up a book? - Yes, very niche question, but it just occurred to me that I have several books on my shelves that I had actually read, that I did not start with the usual “cover is nice and the synopsis sounds good and the reviews are favorable.” Like. . The Gilded Wolves - bought it entirely due to the main character’s name. Didn’t even make it through the synopsis before heading to check out. Severin was a close enough name to Severus to trigger my “I must like and protect and love this fictional person” instinct. . How to Win Friends and Influence People - bought it while loitering in a Target for five hours because it was 40 c° outside and it’s the only place with air-con. Did not want to endure the manager’s stink eye for leaving with absolutely nothing, so, picked the cheapest book on the shelves. . Grief is the Thing with Feathers - heard two good things about it, but ultimately got it to impress a fellow classmate that was way above my intellectual level. . And you know what, I’ve managed to like all three of them. All of them hover at a 4 star rating for me. So it wasn’t that bad. • • • • #bookgramph #booklr #readerlife #booksofinstagram #booksaremylife #buyingbooks #booksfordays #readingismagic #bookster #favorites #becauseofreading #amreading #alwaysreading #bookcommunity #currentlyreading #chooselovely #cozyreading #thegildedwolves #bookseries #yabooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CKUdeGQgReT/?igshid=19rroctnm81e3
