lol so how bad was the Vampire Academy movie?
Yeah… it definitely wasn’t great… But I actually don’t think it was as bad as I thought it would be. I think the acting was pretty good, if they would’ve just explained everything and fleshed things out a bit more I think it could’ve been pretty good.
But yeah, it wasn’t great lol

What do you think of the cast for The Miseducation of Cameron Post movie? And the fact that they're making that a thing?
Ok, so first and foremost: I am THRILLED that they are making a movie. I do think making a movie is a good thing because lesbian books don’t get to become movies as often. I hope it gets a wide release. I hope it is hyped and given the money it needs to be advertised.
With all that in mind, I hate Chloe Grace Moretz as Cameron Post. I don’t really like her as an actress. I think she’s over saturated and honestly not that great an actress. I don’t know if an unknown actress would have been a good move, because I know name recognition is going to help a lot when it comes to advertising, but it really could have been anyone but her and I would have been happy.
It looks like they have been hopefully accurate in casting as far as poc characters?? It would have been really really terrible if that hadn’t been done accurately. If I am wrong that they’ve mis-cast there, please let me know.
Honestly, my short answer is that I’m hopeful and I’m still going to hype it for all its worth when it actually comes out because queer lady YA books deserve to be turned into movies just as much as the straight ones do. With this and Simon being adapted I’m really hopeful that queer YA books will start being made more often. They deserve it and queer teens deserve to be able to see them. And I hope Cameron Post is amazing because it is a beautifully written book.
