I have so many Scum Villain fics downloaded to my kindle that I can no longer file everything under the fandom name. I have to now go through upwards of 200 fics one by one to subcategorise them by ship name, trope and word count. Before I got into svsss it was not like this. My storage was a third used. Now I have to check each individual fic I have read in every fandom and apply an entirely new filing system to it.

Readers in the comments of the chapters were all complimenting the 'author' for their prompt and asking what AI they used because it was so good.
I'm just. Frustrated.
Even if you can't or don't want to create something yourself, there is always a person who will do it with joy. That is the essence of being a fan and participating in fandom culture. These AI algorithms are trained on sites like ao3 or fanfiction.net among many others. They aren't creating anything new. They steal directly from authors who earn no money from their work. It's their labour of love and it's free to us, free to read for anyone with a screen yet people STILL use AI.
What. Is. The. Point.

This country doesn't make sense. The British government is currently supporting the UAE and Israel in their colonial endeavours, sponsoring civil war and genocide for profit. Only to turn around and preach to everyone that we need to stand in silence for two fucking minutes over a war which ended over a century ago.

Despite being on Ao3 for almost 12 years now, I didn't fully get the hang of using its search functions until maybe 3 years ago. I never had anyone show me how to use it, and I never thought to watch a tutorial.
So, I thought I'd make a little how-to for those who want to get started reading on Ao3 but are a bit intimidated by the filtering system.
