This morning, I realized that I was out of order. I place way too many unimportant things at the beginning of the line. I didn't need to dye my hair last night or clean out my closet or watch a re-run of That 70's Show. Instead, I could have started reading my new book that's been sitting on my coffee table for weeks--the book that I've been complaining about not having enough time to read each day. After realizing that I was stressing over such trivial matters, I decided that I needed to be more relaxed. I need to spend time doing what I want to do. Which is read. Even if that means I'll be taking away time to do homework or running errands. Ancient myths tell us that everyone should undergo a period of withdrawal, to seclude themselves from the distractions and influences of society and gain some knowledge. So I've decided to dedicate my time to reading at least one book every month. I already have Eating Animals in hand. Time to get started!
