A day of drying in the sun

Whilst we dont have all the teeth for this Fox we do have most of them, the lower front incisors were gone when we found it unfortunately.

We're giving PVA a go this time as it seems thats what a lot of other folk use, so now, we wait.

We also got gifted this lovely Wood Mouse over the course of the City Nature Challenge. It was in perfect condition but it remained in Als car for 4 days straight and then the garden amongst the pots from pond dipping.

We did finally manage to actually do something with it to get the ball rolling, so question is do we try a full articulation to tie in with another (forgotten) project or just continue with the skull.

Second photo is a size comparison between the Blue Tit and Wood Mouse both such wonderful colours honestly.

You know we picked up that Muntjac a while ago left it outside with a plan to liaise with a friend.

Then Al forgot about it... so its been stewing in the bag since before easter.

We finally sorted it out yesterday and the flesh for the most part just sloughed off. Theres a bit of damage but otherwise its in good nick.

Months this guys been cleaning and soaking and degreasing and its still grubby. Looks like its back in the bath for you.

Still here trying to get various projects towards the finish line.

The Manx Shearwater we decided needed a defleshing session.

Theres a Magpie from 2025 sometime that needs to be unmummied

The Mandarin is now flesh free

And yes we're still in the process of degreasing the Fox and Badger (we really need a new system)

We scored fantastic find yesterday this rather sizeable Hedgehog!

Mummified for the most but the skull peeled out pretty well after a short soak. It has all its teeth and it in fantastic condition so I'm very happy indeed.
