Fillmore lived a quiet life although he never married. He had great love for his German Sheppard, Rex. He did like to spoil Rex some, mostly by buying dog bones from the store. Once while tending to his garden, he found a large rib bone stuck in the ground, thinking nothing of it he pulled it up and set it by the door for Rex. However, he became concerned, when he found a much larger bone in his garden. Finding quite queer for he had never given something so large to his dog. His concern grew to worry on further inspection. It was white and hard like are genuine femur. He searched his yard for the source of these anomalies. He let out a small scream in fright for around Rex's dog house was a pile of human bones and inside was certainly not a dog.

Mr. Nickels heard periodic noises from his cellar, crunching and scampering sounds. The light had burnt out years ago, thus Mr. Nickels investigated with only a flashlight. He searched the mostly empty room with his flashlight and found a round white thing on the floor. He picked it up to investigate only to find it was a human skull, then he heard a crunching sound behind him.
