and sure, she likes vermouth, sort of, sometimes, occasionally. appreciates some of the things she’s done. but overall vermouth is too much to handle, and this thing has an expiration date, which is a relief to kir. her thing with vermouth is for this time period only and that’s good. she’s just a little worried that vermouth will somehow not leave her alone after this. she thinks she may need to take precaution.

and then - as kir predicts, vermouth manages to not land herself in prison. she completely disappears when the organization falls. perhaps it’s the best outcome, to know vermouth is alive and out there and also they won’t cross path in the future.

it’s a relief.

hidemi is glad.

as time goes on, though, adjusting to her new life after so many years in the organization, she’s busy with work and all that, she finds herself - missing vermouth.

it’s normal. she’s spent quite a lot of time in vermouth’s company. has gotten used to it, so naturally she needs to get used to without her again. doesn’t mean she actually misses her, or needs her, or anything like that.

she’s just adjusting.

it’s fine. it’s fine when her colleagues don’t cooperate with her as smoothly as vermouth did or don’t get her as vermouth did. it’s whatever. vermouth has disappeared and it’s the best outcome, really. hidemi doesn’t want her dead or in prison nor does she want her showing up around her. this is literally the ideal situation.

she does not miss her.
